Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - falling forward into the clouds, diving down through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph!
Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens, the steering toggles come down either side of you and you begin a tranquil parachute descent from a mile up in the air, steering yourself back down to the centre of the drop zone below. Well you can stop imagining because it's real and you can do it at an airfield near you by reserving a place on one of Skyline's 10,000 feet freefall tandem skydives...
... and raise funds for Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust at the same time!
This is how it works...
Depending on what jump you do, you will need to raise between £360 & £535 which covers your deposit, jump costs and average sponsorship of £140 to the charity - anything raised above this minimum amount also goes to the charity.
For a tandem skydive for example, you would need to raise a minimum of £395 which is made up of three costs;
£70 Deposit paid on booking
£185 approx jump cost (varies between airfields), this is paid in cash on day of jump to the air field for the event
£130 - £140 approx charity sponsorship money, this can be gift aided and normally is collected by the air field on the day, post dated cheque to be banked 4 weeks after the event
Anything raised above the £395 goes straight to the charity too
Ducks & Drakes work in partnership with Skyline Parachuting which organise everything for your jump. All you need to do is click on the 'Book Now' button below.. You can then set up a sponsorship page online using Virgin Money Giving HERE
. Send the link to all your friends so they can sponsor you simply and securely. You can also collect sponsorship money in the old fashioned way so let us know if you would like us to send you some Ducks & Drakes sponsorship forms.
